Founder & Owner

Bob was a mover while in college, studying education. After working as a teacher, he returned to moving and opened up Century on tax day in 1976.  Ever since, he has steadily grown the number of trucks, services, and employees offered by the company, and given back to the industry with leadership on the boards of the Illinois Mover’s and Warehousemens’ Association as well as the American Moving & Storage Association. Bob is still actively hands-on in the business and enjoys the diversity of working with different customers every day. His four children have all grown up in the business, and his daughter, Megan, currently serves as company president.



Megan is the youngest of the company founder’s children and followed a path to become a teacher in Colorado for eight years before returning to Illinois and joining the family business she knew so well. Today, she performs multiple functions at the company and is helping usher the family business into the future. Megan is also a recipient of the Bekins Spire Award, based on quality, customer feedback. She enjoys helping clients through stressful moving situations, but most of all, she enjoys working with her dad.


Vice President/Manager

Sue has shared most of the company’s history, having joined the industry more than 30 years ago. She left the corporate environment for the family atmosphere of working in a small business and became an integral part of internal operations at Century. Sue also serves the community in the Lombard Area Chamber of Commerce (with stints on the board and as President) and PADS (team chair). She is the co-founder of Senior Home-Selling Workshops. Sue appreciates the company’s genuine concern for customers and the family atmosphere at work.


Relocation Consultant

Tracey is a Colonel in the U.S. Army, once deployed to Afghanistan (2007-2008) and now serving in the Army Reserves. With experience as the logistical officer for 7,300 military service members and the manager of supplies for more than 250 bases, she knows a little about relocation of people and things! Tracey has been with Century since 2003, working directly with customers and working flexible hours around her schedule in the military and as a mother.She is also in charge of our Realtor Program.


Move Coordinator

Janis joined Century Moving in 2015. She is a Bekins Certified Move Manager and keeps Century operating smoothly by helping with customer service, billing, and coordinating orders and daily communication with dispatchers. Her favorite thing about Century is the people she works with, and in her free time, she enjoys vacationing, and spending time with her two children.
